This Andrew Deak Design features an Arduino Mega Processor, 56 i/o lines and a choice of CMRInet, CMRIoIP or DCC for communications. 12C expansion allows you to use IOX16,IOX32 or Mega64 bit expansion boards to to a total of 184 lines. Output is on 0.100 screw terminals on the expander, and 40 female Headers. Note the MegaNode has no provisions for current limiting resistors, so you need to protect any LEDs off board or use IOX16/32 expanders for LEDs that need current limiting.
The MegaNode is equipped with one of the following communications adapters:
- CMRInet - standard RS4522/485 control bus running CMRInet as designed by Dr. Chubb and described in NMRA Layout Control Specification S9-10, compatible with our cpNode and with classic SMINI and SUSIC nodes (you can mix and match on the same CMRInet.)
- Ethernet - for CMRIoIP as supported by Andrew's VBasic code and JMRI. You can get creative with this and support remote nodes anywhere
- DCC - provides a high capacity DCC decoder with up to 184 logic level output lines
- WiFi is possible, needs configuration -- please contact us for details
