This is a non-functional, HO scale model of a RFID antenna used for car tracking on prototype railroads. The Antenna housing is a 3D model printed in Shapeways' Frosted Extreme Detail acrylic and the back plate is a brass etching. As you can see from the photos, it assembles into an accurate scale model of the 30" x 10" x 10" prototype. This makes a great detail to mark the location of your RFID readers on a modern era layout. Alexander Scale Models makes a casting of the 70s era ACI readers if you're using RFID to model ACI in that era.
No masts or bases are provided as they are installation specific (see the prototype photos). You can buy the Antennas prints (not bacl plates) in bulk from Seth Neumann's Shapeways store, or contact us for bulk pricing!
