The Molex to 3.5mm Adapter with Resistor Pads is intended for use with classic CMRI boards such as DIN24/32, DOUT 24/32 or SMINI.  It slides onto the male 0.156" Molex pins and breaks out the pins on 3.5mm screw terminals.  Cuttable resistor pads are provided so that series resistance can be inserted by the user.  This is a clean, reliable, method to mount series resistors for limiting current to LED signals.  If you do not cut the traces on the back, the connection is straight through, which is used for input or for output to logic level devices.

An alternative use is to insert series resistors for any LED Signal by mounting 3.5mm connectors on both ends (alternate pads are provided on the Molex end for 3.5mm or 2.54mm/0.100" screw terminals or headers).
